The American Red Cross Ride for Heroes is a non-competitive bicycle ride through Rocky Mount and portions of Nash County. Riders may choose 25-, 50- or 100-kilometer routes. All routes begin at the Imperial Centre in downtown Rocky Mount. All participants will be required to sign a waiver of liability. Money raised from the event will benefit Red Cross Disaster Services in the Frederick E. Turnage Chapter, which covers five counties -- Nash, Edgecombe, Wilson, Halifax and Northampton.
